PIONEER DANIEL SPINNING FAMILY



1. DANIEL SPINNING was born 16 March 1767 and died 24 Feb 1833 in Rutland NY. In 1804 they settled in Lyme, Jefferson, Co. which later became Cape Vincent. (See history of Jefferson Co. Which history I don't know.) The settlement of his estate is reportedly found in File S-22 in the Surrogate Court Office in Watertown, NY

He married (1)
JERUSHA STANDISH, granddaughter of MILES STANDISH, a direct > descendant of MYLES STANDISH. She was born 4 Nov. 1765 and died between 1806 and 1808.

He married (2) 9 Feb 1808 in Rutland, NY
BETSEY STAFFORD. She was a widow of JAMES STAFFORD.

  CHILDREN of DANIEL SPINNING and BETSEY STAFFORD

2        i        GEORGE WASHINGTON SPINNING, born 17 April 1820 resided in the Daniel Spinning home and is buried in Rutland, NY. He died 17 Jun 1863 and is said to be buried in the Underwood Cemetery of Rutland, NY.
