1. CHARLES A. SPRAGUE was born about 1814 in MA. He died from an illness while serving in the Civil War. He enlisted on 27 Aug 1862 in the Town of Alexandria, Jefferson Co. NY. He was mustered into service on 11 Sep 1862 at Sackets harbor as a Private in Co. F, 10th NY Artillery, under the command of Capt. Vandenberg. His death apparently occurred on 14 Dec 1863 at Ft. Delaware, near Delaware City, DE. He was apparently buried there.
He married 14 Aug 1836, probably in Theresa, NY
MARGARET SHELEY who was born about 1816 in NY.

2. MARCELLUS W. SPRAGUE was born on 9 Jul 1836 in Town of Alexandria. He was a veteran of the Civil War. He died on 19 Feb 1913 in Theresa and was buried in Redwood
He married on 3 Dec 1862 at Browns Corners, Town of Alexandria
ELIZA VAN ALLEN (adopted daughter of WARNER and PHILOTHA ROCKWOOD VAN
ALLEN) who was born on 11 Jun 1837 in Carthage[?], NY. She died on 11
Jan 1907 in Lowville, Lewis County, NY. She was buried on 21 May 1907 in
Lowville, NY. Her biological parents are not known at this time.
NB: She is **not** the ELIZA VAN ALLEN who was the daughter of PETER VAN
ALLEN and OLIVE FORBES. That ELIZA, b. 6 Sep 1812, married ALFRED FAIRBANKS
GREENLEAF on 18 Mar 1838.
