Jefferson County, NY Pioneers


PIONEER WILLIAM VEBBER FAMILY



1. WILLIAM VEBBER from Charlemont, MA settled and lived in Antwerp, Jefferson County and in Rossie, St Lawrence County per census records. He was a farmer, served in MA in the War of 1812. After he marrried LYDIA SPRAGUE, they moved to western NY where her family moved to and raised their family. They are buried in the Spragueville cemetery.

PERON or PERRON VIBBER b 1782 d. 1837, buried with his wife in Black River Cemetery, came from Charlemont MA, with brothers and brothers-in-law. He married ABAGAIL WOODWARD, b. 1784 d. 1849

ABAGAIL WOODWARD was a sister of BILDAD WOODWARD, b 1789. BILDAD married LYDIA JOHNSON.

Same story for all of them. They made their homes in Rutland, NY, PERON with brother DAVID VEBBER.

DAVID VEBBER. 1771 d. 1853, married COMFORT THOMPSON b 1772 d 1853.

MICAH WILLARD, b 1792 from Worchester MA, lived in Rutland in 1820, husband of MARGARET VEBBER b 1791, Charlemont d. 1858 Rutland NY. She moved to NY with her husband.
