In this village, on the morning of the 19th inst., of consumption of the bowels, MRS. PERCY STOWELL, mother of M. STOWELL, Esq., Editor of the Daily News, in the 63d year of her age.
Note: Cemetery stone states she was 69 years.
At his residence in South Rutland on the 19th of June, of consumption of the bowels, DOCT. WM. S. BATES, age 46 years and 26 days.
At his residence in Ellisburgh, near Woodville, June 23d, Mr. ABIAH JENKINS, age 81 years. He was born in Rhode Island in 1778, two years after the Declaration of Independence. He came to Fort Ann, Washington Co., NY when quite young. In 1799, when 21, he came to Ellisburgh. In 1809 he married Miss MARY McKEE, daughter of JOSEPH McKEE, Esq. She was then 21years of age, ten years younger than her husband. When he came to Ellisburgh, Watertown consisted of two huts.

In Rutland, on the morning of the 9th inst., Dea. JACOB FULLER, age nearly 79 years. He was born in Burkland, Mass. In 1780, from which locality he removed in 1806 to the then new “Black River Country,” where he took up the farm on which he settled and remained until his death. He was one of the early settlers of our now prosperous county.

MRS. SALLY TALCOTT, was the wife of Major DANIEL TALCOTT, of Adams, of whom in your issue of Feb. 10th, 1859, you gave such an interesting notice. She died on the 18th inst., at Belleville, at the residence of her son, Dea. DANIEL TALCOTT, to whose family she had gone for a few days to visit. She was born in Windsor, Conn., on the 25th of Oct. 1776. In her 22nd year she was married to Mr. Talcott, with whom she has lived in peaceful harmony for 62 years. In the winter of 1804, she, with her husband, moved into the town of Adams, where she had to endure all the trials and privations of an unsettled country. During the War of 1812 she was not one of those timid souls who wished her husband to shrink from duty but with a Spartan firmness she cheered him to his country's defense. Over 50 years ago she united with the Baptist Church in Adams, where she was baptized by Elder. Cook.
