MRS. BELLA Z. SPENCER, a lady well known to many of our citizens. She died at Tuscaloosa, Alabana on the 1st inst., of typhoid fever, age 27 years. She was reared in the South and was the wife of Gen. GEO. C. SPENCER of the Union Army, a brother of Dr. Spencer of our village. Followed by a lengthy commentary on her writing abilities and published works.
In the death of Mr. MARTIN W. SYMONDS, another of the early and long abiding settlers of Watertown has gone to that bourne whence no traveler returns. He died yesterday, Aug. 8, 1867, age 80 years, having been 57 years a resident of this village and during his prime a man conspicuous in business. He was born in Hartford, CT and came to Watertown in 1810 at the age of 23. He kept a dry goods and grocery store for several years. His name as a businessman was acquired as a drover and produce dealer. The funeral of the deceased will be held at the residence of his son, CHARLES F. SYMONDS, Esq., on Massey Street, Saturday morning at 10 o'clock.

In Denmark, Lewis Co., Sept. 15th, DR. CHARLES SQUARE, age 84 years. He was born in Duchess County and located in Denmark in 1810 and has been a physician for nearly 60 years. Less than one year ago, his wife departed this life. His son, Charles, has always lived at home with his father. The Doctor died at his old house in Denmark, on the 15th of Sept. His funeral was attended on the 17th by Rev. D. C. Tomlinson of Watertown. The Masonic Order closed the ceremonies at the grave with appropriate services.

He was one of the first settlers in the town of Rossie, and was a resident of Somerville and vicinity the greater portion of his life. His widow survived him.
