Ambrose Potter Will



In the matter of the estate of Ambrose Potter of Adams, Jefferson Co., NY:
On 14 January 1862, Narcissa A. Potter of Adams, petitioned to open probate.

HEIRS/NEXT OF KIN:
Narcissa A. Potter, petitioner and widow of the deceased
Lucretia A. Potter, wife of P. C. Potter
Marcus C. Potter, of full age
Lucia C. Potter
Lucinda B. Potter, minors having no general guardian, of Adams, all children of Ambrose Potter, deceased.
Since the death of Ambrose Potter, Narcissa E. Potter, one of his children, legatee in the will, departed this life leaving her surviving no husband or children or descendants of any children.

Will of Ambrose Potter

Ambrose made his will at age 58. Named his son, Marcus C. Potter. Named his wife, Narcissa A. Potter. Named his four daughters: Lucretia A. Potter, wife of P. C. Potter; Narcissa E. Potter, Lucia C. Potter and Lucinda B. Potter. He appointed his wife Narcissa, as sole executrix.
Will dated 2 November 1861. /s/ Ambrose Potter
Witnesses: T. P. Saunders and John Schram both of Adams
Will proved: 14 January 1862
