On 2 May 1840 a hearing on the will was held in open court, with MARY ANN HOGG, widow and executrix named in the will.

JOHN KEMP, special guardian of MARGARETT HOGG and GEORGE HOGG, infants of Watertown and ROBERT HOGG, infant of the City of New York.
WILL OF ANDREW HOGG
ANDREW HOGG named his daughter, MARGARET. Named his son, ROBERT. Named his wife, MARY ANN. Named his youngest son, GEORGE. Appointed his wife, Mary Ann, as executrix and guardian of George until he reached 21 years. Will dated: 9 August 1839. /s/ Andrew Hogg

NOTE: Andrew Hogg was born in England in 1793; he arrived in the United States in 1818 and was naturalized in Jefferson Co., NY on 6 Dec. 1837.
