CHARLES LEWIS named his youngest son, CHARLES LEWIS. Named his wife, POLLY. Named his son, HENRY H. LEWIS. Named wife, POLLY LEWIS, as sole executrix of the estate. Will dated 20 September 1834. /s/ Charles Lewis

Transcriber's note: the information below for the already posted Charles Lewis estate, is to be added information gleaned from the estate papers.

In the matter of the estate of Charles Lewis of Antwerp, Jeff. Co., NY:
On 10 November 1834, Calvin Evans of Antwerp testified that he saw the deceased execute his will.

Polly, wife of the deceased
Charles Lewis, son of the deceased

Will of Charles Lewis

Charles Lewis of Antwerp, Jefferson County, disposing of his real and personal estate to his son, Charles, the farm on which he now resides, it being the same he had of Jude Cross. His debts to be paid out of the personal property and the residue to be divided between his wife, Polly, and his son, Charles. Charles is to give his mother, in lieu of dower, one-half of the proceeds of the farm during her natural life or as long as she shall remain a widow. Charles to pay Henry $125 in stock (unreadable). His wife is to have the ____of the house. His wife to have the household furniture and Charles the farming tools and one good feather bed and bedding. Will dated 20 September 1834.

We hereby acknowledge due and legal service of the within citation on 6 October 1834. Henry Whitcome, special guardian of Charles Lewis. Signed: Henry N. Lewis and Betsey Jennison.

Betsey Jennison noted as wife of Roderick Jennison. Polly Lewis, the widow was appointed executrix of the deceased's will.
