On 18 April 1848, PHILIP P. MARTIN of Ellisburgh petitioned to open probate with MOODY P. GRINNELL as executors of the will.
Heirs/next of kin: ALMIRA GODDARD EDWARD GODDARD, all of Ellisburgh, NY Josiah Goddard and Edward Goddard were minors with no general guardian.
WILL OF DANIEL GODDARD
DANIEL GODDARD named his wife, ALMIRA. Named his two infant children, to-wit: JOSIAH GODDARD and EDWARD GODDARD. Named his daughter, ELIZA GRENELL. Appointed ORLANDO GRENNELL and DEXTER WILDER both of Ellisburg as executors. Will dated 1 December 1847. /s/ Daniel Goddard

Appointed PHILLIP P. MARTIN as executor replacing Dexter Wilder.
