On 29 November 1841, JOHN J. GOLDSMID and RUSSELL WILMOT of Champion, NY petitioned to open probate on the estate. Goldsmid and Wilmot were executors named in the will.
Heirs/next of kin:
HANNAH G. STARR, widow of the deceased, of Pamelia
CHARLES BUZZELL and SUSAN BUZZELL of Elyria, Lorraine Co., Ohio
GEORGE STARR, both of Pamelia, minors having no general guardianship
WILL OF DAVID STARR
DAVID STARR, age 66 years and upwards, made his will. He named his daughter, SUSAN J. BURRELL. After her death, bequest went to her children. Named his sister, ABIGAIL STARR. Named his wife, HANNAH G. STARR. Named his two sons: DAVID STARR JR. and GEORGE STARR, when 21 years of age. Mentioned his grandchildren of his daughter, Susan J. Buzzell but not by name. Mentioned his farm in Champion. Appointed JOHN L. GOLDSMID and RUSSELL WILMOT, of Champion, as executors of the will.

Witnesses: WILLIAM RUGER of Watertown and BENJAMIN KELSEY of Champion.
