ESTATE OF GARDNER WOOD

In the matter of the estate of GARDNER WOOD of Brownville, Jefferson Co., NY:

ADAM W. WALRATH of Brownville, brought the Petition to Open Probate on 20 Sept. 1855. He stated that he was the general guardian of JOHN G. WOOD, a minor and son of GARDNER WOOD, deceased. Further, GARDNER WOOD deceased on 8 September 1855 in Clayton and died a natural death and without a will.

Heirs/next of kin named in the Petition to Open Probate:
HELEN M. WALRATH, wife of CHRISTOPHER WALRATH, of full age
JOHN G. WOOD, a minor of whom Petitioner is general guardian
BATHSHEBA D. WOOD
CHARLIE WOOD, both minors having no general guardian, all of Clayton, NY, children of said deceased.
ARABELLA WOOD, of Lowville, Lewis Co., NY, child of William W. Wood, deceased and a grand child of the intestate, a minor having no general guardian.

NOTE: Gardner Wood died 8 Sept. 1855 at 63 years of age and is buried in the Stone Mill Cemetery.

Bethsheby Wood, wife of Gardner, died 9 July 1853 at 46 years, 1 m 18 days and is buried in the Stone Mill Cemetery.
