In the matter of the estate of HIRAM RICE of Antwerp, Jeff. Co., NY:
Upon the petition to open probate by ISAAC SEYMORE of Antwerp, and STEPHEN RICE and ALVEN RICE of Washington Co., NY, they stated that Hiram had departed this life at Antwerp on 18 April 1874 and was a resident of the county. No last will or testament of the deceased had been found and they believe he died intestate.
Hiram left no widow living nor any children; neither did he leave a father. The only relatives of the deceased, entitled to succeed this personal estate are the said petitioners, who are brothers of the deceased, and MARIA BALDWIN, LYDIA CHAPIN, RUTH CAMPBELL, MARY GARDNER and LUCY STEPHENS who resides in this state, and are sisters of the deceased.
