Will of John Wallace

John Wallace made his will at age 78. He named his daughter, Anna Ramsey. Named his daughter, Betsey, wife of Henry Huntley. Named his son, Isaac Wallace. Named his daughter-in-law, widow of his son, Chandler Wallace, deceased. Named his granddaughter, Sarah Ann Wallace, daughter of deceased son, Chandler Wallace. Named his grandson, John Wallace, son of John Wallace, Jr., deceased. Named his daughter-in-law Caroline, wife of his son, Clark Wallace. Named his daughter Mary Ruth. Named his grandson, Samuel Wallace. Named his granddaughter, Cornelia Seaton. Named his son, James Wallace. Mentioned is son, Russell Wallace. Appointed his son Isaac Wallace and his son-in-law Henry Huntley, as co-executors.

Witnesses: Jay D. McWayne and Ezekiel Ramsey both of Henderson, Jeff. Co., NY

CODICIL:
In reference to his will, he mentions a bequeath to his grandson, John Wallace, son of John Wallace, Jr., a deceased son; since the will was drawn he learned that his grandson, John Wallace, had died. Therefore, the amount willed to his grandson, now deceased shall be equally divided between his two granddaughters, Sarah Ann Wallace and Louisa Ramsdell, daughters of his son John Wallace, deceased.
