JOSEPH CROOK named his wife, MERCY. Named his son, DANIEL. Named his three sons; NATHAN, GURDON and JOHN. To the children of son, ELIAS, deceased. Named his two daughters, DEBORAH DAVIS and ESTHER CHASE. He appointed JOHN P. JOHNSON and DANIEL CROOK as executors. Will dated 17 April 1835. /s/ Joseph Crook.
Witnesses: JOHN P. JOHNSON, SILAS PHILLIPS and JOSIAH PHILLIPS all of Champion.
Will proved: 7 June 1836.

NOTE: According to the Findagrave information, Joseph was born August 178 in Haddam, Middlesex Co., CT and died 2 June 1835 at Champion, Jefferson Co. Mercy was his second wife, the first wife was Ester Clark He was a Revolutionary War soldier. Buried Hillside Cemetery in Champion.
