In the matter of the estate of KNIGHT D. REED of Ellisburgh, Jefferson Co. NY:

On 24 December 1849, ALVAH BULL filed his petition to open probate as sole executor. He stated that Knight had deceased on 22 November 1848.

LEWIS M. TRUESDELL
LAURA JUNE VORCE
MARY WHITNEY
KNIGHT D. WHITNEY
CLARK WHITNEY all of Ellisburgh.
Lewis Truesdell, Laura Vorce, Mary Whitney, Knight D. Whitney and Clark Whitney were all minors under 21 years.

WILL OF KNIGHT D. REED

KNIGHT D. REED named his wife, POLLY. Named his grandson, LEWIS M. TRUESDELL. Named his granddaughter, LAURY JANE VORCE. Named his grandchildren: MARY WHITNEY, KNIGHT D. WHITNEY, CLARK WHITNEY, and LAURA JANE VORCE and LEWIS M. TRUESDELL. Directed his executor to put up a set of good decent grave stones for each of his daughter's graves, namely LAURA WHITNEY and MARY VORCE. And put up stones for Knight Reed and wife Polly. Appointed ALVAH BULL as sole executor. Will dated 20 October 1849. /s/ K. D. Reed.
Witnesses: EMORY SCOTT and ELWIN SCOTT, both of Ellisburgh, NY.
Will proved: 17 January 1850.

NOTE: Knight D. Reed, JR., a son of the deceased, died in 1832 at age 19.
