RICHARD LEWIS named his wife, ELIZA. Mentioned his minor children but not by name. Named his son, SYLVESTER J. LEWIS and friend, MARCELLUS K. STOWE as executors of his will. Left his tanning mill to the executors to be held in trust for the benefit of his children. Mentioned a lot in Depauville that was deeded to him by STEPHEN JOHNSON and wife MARY in a deed dated 16 December 1845 to Mrs. formerly _____Whipple and her heirs or assigns pursuant to a contract due to Richard Lewis. In Article 6 he named his six children: MARGARET ANN, SYLVESTER J. SOPHRONIE E., RICHARD M. WILLIAM N. and ALDEN J. Appointed his wife, Eliza, as guardian of the children until they became of age.
