In the matter of the estate of Rosanna Fee, of Watertown, Jeff. Co., NY:
On 15 December 1866, Ross Scott of Watertown petitioned to open probate.
HEIRS/NEXT OF KIN:
Your petitioner, Ross C. Scott, who resides in the City of Chicago, Illinois, to the best of your petitioner's knowledge and belief, stated that the deceased had never been married. Further, on 12 December, 1866, Fanny Fee, stated that she read the petition and the same is true of her own knowledge and she was in Buffalo, NY at the time. A petition by Fanny Fee of the City of Chicago, Illinois stated that she was the sister of Rosanna Fee, who departed this life on the 4th of December 1866, in Watertown and died a natural death and intestate.
Note: Several creditors came forward, among them a creditor in Chicago who deceased during the process of settling the estate and prolonged the open estate status.
