In the matter of the estate of THANKFUL COWEN of LeRay, Jefferson Co., NY:

On 7 March 1848, JOSEPH R. HENDERSON of LeRay petitioned to open probate and stated that Thankful had named him as executor of the will.

Heirs/next of kin:
PAULINA HENDERSON and her husband, JOSEPH R. HENDERSON, petitioner
SOLOMON COWEN of Hartford, Washington Co., NY
ABIGAL THORNTON and her husband, JEREMIAH THORNTON
ARTIMESA COWEN, residing somewhere in the State of Vermont, particular residence unknown.
BENJAMIN COWEN residing in the state of Ohio, whose particular residence was unknown.

WILL OF THANKFUL COWEN

THANKFUL COWEN was age 70 years and upward when she made her will. She named her niece, PAULINE HENDERSON during her natural life and in the event she outlived her husband, legacy to her and her heirs and assigns. If Pauline died, then legacy to JOSEPH R. HENDERSON, who was also appointed executor. Will dated 1 July 1835. /s/ Thakful Cowen
