1. JONAH WOODRUFF (son of BENJAMIN & EUNICE (MARTIN) WOODRUFF) was born 8 Feb 1747/8 in Litchfield, Litchfield County, Connecticut. Information about this family can be found in "Woodruff Genealogy", compiled by Susan Woodruff Abbott, Milford CT 1963. He served in the Revolutionary War (see Revvets). He removed to Oneida County NY from Winchester CT, and thence to Jefferson County, where he settled near Burrville. and died 29 Mar 1823 in the Town of Watertown. He was buried at Brookside Cemetery, Watertown.

3. SIMEON WOODRUFF (son of JONAH & MARY (OLMSTEAD) WOODRUFF) was born 8 Jun 1773 in Litchfield, Litchfield County, Connecticut. According to the Woodruff Genealogy, he left home at the age of 21 and moved to Oneida County, where his father and brother Benjamin joined him in 1799. The census places them at the Town of Deerfield there. His first child was born in Steuben, Oneida County, NY. He and his father and brother then came to Jefferson County, where they settled at Woodruff's Settlement. Simeon later moved to Town of Pamelia where he built a stone house. He held many offices in Pamelia, and his home was the headquarters of the library association. He fought in the War of 1812. He died 5 Sep 1853.

ROSANNA ADAMS, who was the daughter of RODERICK & ISABELLA
(CASE) ADAMS. She was born 9 May 1777 in Simsbury, Hartford County,
Connecticut. Her father fought in the Revolutioary war, and later located in
Onondaga County, NY. ROSANNA died 15 Jun 1876 in Vineland, New Jersey.

5 iv BENJAMIN WOODRUFF (son of JONAH & MARY (OLMSTEAD) WOODRUFF) was born 12 May 1778 in Litchfield, Litchfield County, Connecticut. He bought his brother's land at Woodruff Settlement, where five generations of Woodruffs lived and died. He was a private in the War of 1812. He died 15 Dec 1860 and was buried in Brookside Cemetery.

SARAH CLEVELAND who was the daughter of GARDNER CLEVELAND.
She was born 9 Sep 1774 and died in Watertown 16 Jun 1854. She was buried
in Brookside Cemetery.

6. FREDERICK WOODRUFF (son of JONAH & MARY (OLMSTEAD) WOODRUFF) was born 24 Jun 1787 in Litchfield, Litchfield County, Connecticut. He served in the War of 1812.
He married 14 Jun 1809 at Town of Rutland, Jefferson County
LODEMA ANDRUS who was the daughter of EZEKIEL & MARTHA
(MUNSON) ANDRUS. She was born 17 Jun 1790 in the Town of Rutland,
Jefferson County, and died 12 Nov 1876 in Watertown.
