An historical note: on the burial of Clotilde de Gonvello-
Therese LeRay was the only daughter of James LeRay de Chaumont. She married in France in 1816 to the Marquis Amadee de Gonvello and came to America with the child was born. The LeRay estate passed into the hands of Jules Rene Payen, an engineer from Parison, about 1837 and descendants of the latter occupied the home. The only graves of any belonging to the LeRay family except the above child, Clotilde, are for the black nurse, Rachel, within the Sheepfold cemetery.
